Although it rained on and off all night and looked dismal in the morning the sun came out before we got to Kaiteriteri today and we had a great day.
We had planned to do a bit of a Sea Kayak adventure but with Cathy unable to paddle we had to settle for renting one for just an hour so I could go for a spin with Zak and then Emma. We saw some birds nesting in trees on a little Island (probably Herons). The "chicks" looked pretty huge, the size of a seagull! Maybe almost time for them to try flying themselves.

Raining in Auckland too and very humid. Sounds like you guys are having fun. It's a pity Cathy could not go kayaking. We need more pictures though!! Have fun and have a Happy New Year!
